Reconstruction Plate

Reconstruction plates are devised to bridge acetabular fracture using multiple screws. The fixation can be done using screws of various sizes like 2.7 mm, 3.5 mm, 4 mm, 4.5 mm, etc. The plates don't bend more than 15degree. The plates are often used in combination with lag screws. These plates are designed to protect fracture surfaces from normal bending and rotation. Reconstruction plates are used to support bone that is unstable in compression or axial loading.
