Diaphyseal or humeral shaft fractures approximately 5 cm proximal to the olecranon fossa with closed epiphyseal lines for:

  • Stable & Unstable fractures
  • Pathological fractures
  • Refractures with delayed healing & pseudoarthosis

Compression features

Interfragmentary Compression can be achieved in the following types of humeral shaft fractures-

  • Transverse fractures
  • Short oblique fractures

Compression should not be applied in the following fractures- spiral fractures, long oblique fractures &
longitudinally unstable fractures.

  • Universal nail for antegrade or retrograde approach & for left & right humerus
  • The special alignment of holes in the nail ensures optimal positioning of locking bolts in both the approaches
  • lateral bend located 55 mm from the proximal end allows an off axis entry site to help minimize damage to the articular surface
  • Cannulated nail with a round cross-section
  • Compression locking of cannulated nail can help close a transverse or short oblique gap that is up to 8 mm wide
  • Small calibre, cannulated implant inserted after reaming helps in reducing the hoop stress formation
  • Available in both titanium & stainless steel
